Job Description
  • This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Account Development Representative based in Canada. This is an entry-level sales opportunity focused on driving profitable growth across a defined territory and expanding relationships with small and mid-sized customers. You’ll identify new accounts, re-engage underpenetrated customers, and turn emerging market opportunities into qualified business prospects. The role combines business development, consultative selling, relationship management, and solution positioning within a technology-focused environment. You’ll work closely with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to understand business challenges and connect them with relevant products and solutions. Success will depend on your ability to build trust with decision-makers, manage a pipeline, and negotiate effectively while protecting long-term relationships. The position offers strong exposure to technology markets, sales strategy, and customer engagement, with meaningful opportunities to grow professionally. This is a fully remote role for candidates based in the Mississauga area, with occasional travel to an office location as required.
  • Accountabilities: Drive sales growth by acquiring new customers and rebuilding relationships with underpenetrated or previously inactive accounts within an assigned territory. Build and maintain influential relationships with customers and suppliers, developing trust and becoming a knowledgeable commercial partner. Identify emerging opportunities with high-growth potential by monitoring market dynamics, customer needs, competitor activity, industry trends, and technology developments. Generate and follow up on leads from supplier relationships and internal sources, qualifying opportunities and prioritizing those with the strongest potential for revenue and profitability. Create new sales opportunities by understanding customer business challenges and matching them with appropriate products, services, and technology solutions. Develop customer sales and marketing plans designed to increase revenue, strengthen relationships, and expand the adoption of available solutions. Engage with decision-makers, management, and executive-level stakeholders to understand future requirements and proactively position solutions. Negotiate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, balancing commercial objectives with the preservation of strong, long-term relationships. Coordinate transactions across local and international teams when necessary to maximize business opportunities and customer coverage. Stay current on relevant technologies, products, industry developments, competitor activity, and market trends to provide informed recommendations and identify new sources of demand. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification is preferred. Demonstrated interest or experience in sales, business development, account management, customer service, or a related commercial environment. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with customers and business stakeholders. Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with people at different organizational levels, including senior decision-makers. Strong business development skills, including the ability to originate opportunities, qualify leads, and convert prospects into customers. Ability to sell, negotiate, persuade, and influence while maintaining a customer-focused and consultative approach. Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently, prioritize competing demands, and perform effectively under pressure. Strong organization and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities and follow-ups simultaneously. Customer-focused mindset and strong commercial judgment, with an ability to understand business needs and recommend appropriate solutions. Ability to learn technology products, industry trends, and market developments quickly and translate that knowledge into compelling customer conversations. Benefits: Base salary of CAD $60,000, with a target OTE of CAD $120,000 based on a 50/50 base salary and commission structure. Performance-based commission incentive providing significant earning potential as sales results grow. Fully remote work arrangement for candidates based in the Mississauga area. Flexibility to work remotely while remaining available for occasional travel to an office location as requested. Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage. RRSP matching program. Paid time off, including vacation, holidays, and sick leave. Short-term and long-term disability insurance. Supplemental life and AD&D insurance options. Professional development and career growth opportunities. Exposure to a global technology and electronics sales environment with opportunities to develop commercial and industry expertise.
