  • This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Associate Data Privacy Analyst based in India. This role supports the organization’s data privacy and compliance framework across the EU, UK, and other applicable privacy regulations. You will help translate privacy requirements into practical policies, controls, assessments, and day-to-day processes. The position offers exposure to DPIAs, data subject rights, privacy audits, breach management, vendor assurance, and accountability records. You will work with stakeholders across the business, responding to routine privacy questions and escalating complex or higher-risk matters when needed. The role combines legal and regulatory knowledge with analytical, organizational, and documentation skills. It is well suited to an early-career privacy professional looking to deepen their expertise in a collaborative governance environment.
  • Accountabilities Support the development, maintenance, and implementation of data protection policies, procedures, and controls. Identify privacy risks and recommend practical mitigation measures to reduce potential impacts on individuals and the organization. Assist with Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), including evaluating necessity, proportionality, risks, and mitigation actions. Support the handling of individual rights requests, including access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection, and data portability, while meeting applicable legal deadlines. Assist with privacy audits and reviews across the organization, maintaining accurate evidence and documentation. Support the investigation, documentation, risk assessment, escalation, and remediation of personal data breaches and other privacy incidents. Review supplier security and privacy information and assist with checks relating to processor terms, contractual safeguards, and privacy requirements. Act as a point of contact for routine privacy-related questions, providing practical guidance and escalating complex or high-risk issues appropriately. Maintain privacy records, including Records of Processing Activities (RoPA), DPIAs, decision logs, and other accountability documentation. Prepare clear reporting and updates covering privacy risks, individual rights requests, incidents, compliance actions, and outstanding activities. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Law, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience. 1–2 years of experience in data protection, privacy, compliance, governance, or a closely related field. Good working knowledge of EU and UK GDPR principles, including individual rights, accountability, personal data breaches, processors, and international data transfers. Practical understanding of DPIAs, including identifying privacy risks, assessing necessity and proportionality, and documenting appropriate mitigation measures. Experience or demonstrated ability to support data subject rights requests, from locating relevant information through to clear communication with individuals and internal stakeholders. Ability to maintain accurate RoPA entries, assessment records, decision logs, and other evidence demonstrating compliance. Understanding of privacy incident investigation and response, including initial risk assessment, escalation, remediation, and documentation. Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently and meet deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain privacy requirements clearly to different audiences. High levels of integrity and attention to detail when handling personal and sensitive information. Proactive and collaborative approach, with the ability to identify issues early, follow actions through, and work effectively with stakeholders across the organization.
