  • This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Associate, Quality Control based in the United States. This role is an excellent opportunity to contribute to high-stakes due diligence and quality assurance work supporting leading financial and professional services organizations. You will review investigative reports and public-record research to ensure findings are accurate, compliant, well-supported, and clearly presented. The position combines investigative analysis, quality control, regulatory awareness, and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. You will work with researchers, client-facing teams, and external partners to resolve issues and maintain consistently high reporting standards. The role offers exposure to complex legal records, online research, financial risk considerations, and confidential information.   • Accountabilities: Perform quality control reviews: Conduct peer-to-peer quality assurance reviews of due diligence reports, ensuring compliance with applicable FCRA requirements, client guidelines, and internal reporting standards. Analyze complex records: Review and intelligently summarize legal and public records, including liens, judgments, bankruptcies, criminal records, complaints, and other recorded documents. Review digital research: Evaluate social media profiles, derogatory news, and broader online presence as part of comprehensive due diligence investigations. Maintain quality standards: Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of research protocols, reporting requirements, fulfillment processes, and applicable quality expectations. Deliver accurate work: Produce precise, well-supported, and high-quality reviews within established timelines while maintaining strong attention to detail. Collaborate across teams: Communicate with client relations teams to ensure deliverables and deadlines remain achievable and coordinate effectively with investigators and other internal stakeholders. Work with external partners: Collaborate with third-party firms supporting document retrieval, court runner services, and additional research activities. Resolve quality issues: Notify investigators of identified errors, respond to inquiries, and help clarify process or reporting questions. Support continuous improvement: Assist with team workloads, quality audits, process-related initiatives, and special projects as needed. Requirements: Education: Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Political Science, International Studies, or a related discipline. Experience: 0–4 years of relevant experience in public records research, due diligence, investigations, or a related field; prior quality control experience is preferred. Regulatory knowledge: Working knowledge of FCRA regulations and their application to due diligence and reporting activities. Research expertise: Familiarity with due diligence and investigative databases such as LexisNexis, Westlaw, CLEAR, or TLO, along with a basic understanding of different fulfillment processes. Analytical ability: Strong attention to detail and the ability to interpret complex documents, identify discrepancies, assess information, and produce concise, accurate summaries. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate findings and resolve questions professionally. Confidentiality: Experience handling confidential and sensitive information, including personally identifiable information (PII), with sound judgment and discretion. Adaptability: Ability to interpret varied instructions, manage competing priorities, work independently, and consistently meet deadlines. Technology: Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, as well as collaboration platforms such as SharePoint, Slack, and Teams.
