Job Description

Your Impact 

Pearce is seeking experienced Commercial HVAC Technicians to join our team for servicing and repairing heavy commercial HVAC equipment. This is a fast-paced and rewarding job that is best suited for individuals who are responsible, self-directed, highly motivated, willing to travel, and looking to learn and grow in the HVAC industry. This is a regional position. Candidates should reside in the Sacramento, California area. 

Core Responsibilities

  • Maintaining heavy commercial HVAC equipment including chillers, water cooled systems, receptacle compressors, Liebert systems, controls, and multiple cooling systems. 
  • Diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, or installing and replacing components of entire systems.
  • Conducting performance checks and regular maintenance on split systems up to 20 tons.
  • Performing additional maintenance or upgrades to out-of-season heavy commercial HVAC equipment.
  • Responding to service calls in a timely manner, including emergency call out services.
  • Timely and accurate completion of daily work reports.
  • Operate and maintain a motor vehicle safely and legally per the PEARCE Employee Handbook and insurance requirements.

Specific duties may vary or evolve over time based on business and client needs.

 Core Experience

  • Must be Level 2 or Universal EPA Certified (Required).
  • 10+ years of experience with commercial HVAC maintenance, repair, and servicing on equipment such as Liebert (Required).
  • High level of knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components including refrigeration systems.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and by email.

 Physical/Work Environment

 At Pearce safety is our number one concern. Candidates must be able to comply with OSHAFCC/FAA/EPA Standards. 

  • Candidates should reside in the Sacramento, California area.
  • Must be available for after-hours and weekend call outs on occasion.
  • Extensive daily travel in an independent work structure.
  • Occasional overnights required-company pays all travel costs and provides $50 per diem/per night. 
  • Driving to remote work sites as needed.
  • Be exposed to ambient temperatures while working outdoors.
  • Lift and move equipment as needed (up to 50 pounds).
  • May need to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical. 

Compensation: $50.00-$60.00 hourly/DOE
