Job Description

M9 Solutions is seeking a Data Scientist II to work remotely in support of a government contract for a client located in Washington, DC. An active Secret clearance is required.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Active Secret security clearance.
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 3+ years of experience with machine learning engineering, data science, data project engineering, or software development for data solutions.
  • Experience with object-oriented programming languages (such as Python, JSON, C++, Java, R, or Scala).
  • Experience with containerization tools, including Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Experience with architecting and designing novel analytic methods using machine learning methodologies.
  • Experience with developing and supporting data-oriented tasks for cybersecurity solutioning, including developing machine learning algorithms, data models, or architecture strategy for cyber defense purposes.
  • Experience with developing and engineering data workflows to merge disparate data sources and draw data-driven insights.
  • Experience with designing and developing automation for security tools management, and creating customized searches and applications.
  • Experience with Cloud Service Provider (CSP) solutions and their resources (Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS), and Platform as a Service (PaaS).
  • Experience with Security Information & Event Management (SIEM) and Security.
  • Ability to leverage a variety of data science capabilities and languages, analyze and resolve critical data issues using various methodologies, and ensure data integrity.
  • Familiarity with host and network-based security technologies.
  • Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK and D3FEND frameworks.
  • Ability to apply analytical rigor and statistical/ML methods to analyze large amounts of data, using advanced statistical techniques.
  • Ability to perform analysis of structured and unstructured data to solve multiple and complex cybersecurity problems utilizing advanced statistical techniques and mathematical analyses.
  • Ability to support high-visibility reporting on cybersecurity data through the development of data visualizations and/or dashboards.
