Job Description
M9 Solutions is seeking a Data Scientist III to work remotely in support of a government contract for a client located in Washington, DC. An active Secret clearance is required.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Active Secret security clearance.
- Master's or PhD degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or Economics required, OR additional experience above the minimum may be considered in lieu of the required education on a year-for-year basis.
- 5+ years of experience with machine learning engineering, data science, data project engineering, or software development for data solutions.
- Experience with designing a technical solution and leading a team in the implementation of the technical design.
- Experience with object-oriented programming languages (such as Python, JSON, C++, Java, R, or Scala).
- Experience with containerization tools, including Kubernetes and Docker.
- Experience with architecting and designing novel analytic methods using machine learning methodologies.
- Experience with developing and supporting data-oriented tasks for cybersecurity solutioning, including developing machine learning algorithms, data models, or architecture strategy for cyber defense purposes.
- Experience with developing and engineering data workflows to merge disparate data sources and draw data-driven insights.
- Experience with designing and developing automation for security tools management, and creating customized searches and applications.
- Experience with Cloud Service Provider (CSP) solutions and their resources (Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS), and Platform as aService (PaaS).
- Experience with Security Information & Event Management (SIEM) and Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) tools and capabilities.
- Ability to leverage a variety of data science capabilities and languages, analyze and resolve critical data issues using various methodologies, and ensure data integrity.
- Familiarity with host and network-based security technologies.
- Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK and D3FEND frameworks.
- Ability to apply analytical rigor and statistical/ML methods to analyze large amounts of data, using advanced statistical techniques.
- Ability to perform analysis of structured and unstructured data to solve multiple and complex cybersecurity problems utilizing advanced statistical techniques and mathematical analyses.
- Ability to support high-visibility reporting on cybersecurity data through the development of data visualizations and/or dashboards.
- Must have at least a Certified Analytics Professional (CAP) certification.
