This role sits at the core of a mission-critical clinical data platform used in healthcare environments where reliability, performance, and data integrity are essential. You will be responsible for designing, optimizing, and evolving complex SQL Server databases that power a fast-growing clinical coordination solution deployed across multiple healthcare institutions. The position focuses deeply on database engine performance, advanced SQL optimization, and robust data modeling rather than application-layer development. You will play a key role in structuring clinical and operational data to support both real-time system performance and advanced analytics use cases. Operating in a highly regulated and fast-scaling environment, you will help ensure data sovereignty, security, and consistency across all systems. This is a highly technical role for a senior SQL specialist who enjoys working close to the engine and solving complex data challenges with real-world impact.
  • Accountabilities: Design, develop, and maintain advanced SQL Server data models supporting complex clinical and operational workflows. Optimize SQL queries, execution plans, indexing strategies, and overall database performance. Ensure transactional integrity, data consistency, and high availability across production systems. Configure and tune SQL Server environments, including security configurations, encryption, and advanced performance settings. Implement and maintain replication and data synchronization mechanisms for near real-time data flows. Diagnose and resolve performance bottlenecks and database-level technical issues. Develop data structuring and denormalization strategies to support analytics and business intelligence use cases. Collaborate with BI teams and stakeholders to improve data accessibility and reporting capabilities. Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to the evolution of the platform’s data layer. Work closely with engineering teams and clinical stakeholders to ensure data models align with operational needs. Requirements: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server in complex production environments. Strong expertise in T-SQL, query optimization, indexing strategies, and execution plan analysis. Deep understanding of SQL Server architecture, administration, replication, and performance tuning. Proven experience in designing and maintaining complex relational data models. Solid experience in data optimization for analytics, including denormalization strategies. Ability to work in structured, regulated environments requiring high data integrity and reliability. Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on performance and system stability. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience. Strong collaboration skills and ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders. Nice to have: experience in healthcare data environments, .NET/C# knowledge, BI tools, APIs, or interoperability standards, and functional English proficiency.
