Work directly with advisors and clients to understand financial objectives, assess lending opportunities, and develop solutions that complement broader wealth, insurance, and investment strategies. Prepare complete and well-supported lending submissions for pricing and approval, demonstrating a clear understanding of the transaction, client activities, financial strategy, and lending rationale. Contribute to regional and national business development initiatives by promoting new products, enhancements, and strategic programs. Manage an ongoing communication plan with advisors to strengthen existing relationships, identify opportunities, and support sustainable business growth and profitability. Collaborate with partners across private wealth, personal banking, insurance, securities, and other distribution channels to deliver an integrated, “one-team” experience. Assess preliminary lending opportunities and determine the likelihood and strategic fit of potential transactions before advancing proposals. Identify operational improvements and provide market feedback that can help enhance existing products, services, and future offerings. Requirements 10+ years of experience in commercial banking, business banking, or a closely related financial services environment. Professional fluency in both English and French, with the ability to serve clients and partners across multiple Canadian provinces. Strong consultative sales capabilities, including prospecting, information gathering, solution development, negotiation, closing, and ongoing relationship management. Strong financial analysis skills, including the ability to evaluate business financial statements and assess lending opportunities against established policies and risk considerations. Solid understanding of the financial services and banking industries, with practical knowledge of permanent life insurance. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with financial advisors, professional partners, clients, and multiple distribution networks. Proven presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain sophisticated financial solutions clearly. Strong negotiation, organization, prioritization, and multitasking skills, combined with a disciplined and methodical approach to work. Ability to assess the potential for lending participation based on preliminary analysis and sound commercial judgment. Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to collaborate across functions and business units. Comfort using technology and digital tools to support business development, client engagement, and day-to-day responsibilities. Ability and willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory as required. Ability to work independently while coordinating initiatives across multiple stakeholders and managing competing priorities effectively. Benefits Fully remote work arrangement within Canada. Competitive compensation based on market conditions, location, qualifications, education, experience, and role-related expertise.
