Job Description
About Honeydew 👋
No one should suffer from a treatable skin disease because they couldn't access care. That's what Honeydew is fixing — a platform connecting hundreds of millions of people to licensed dermatologists, FDA-approved treatments, and ongoing skin health support. We've helped 40,000+ patients get life-changing results, we're growing 5x YoY, and we're just getting started.
The Opportunity 📈
We are redefining how Americans access dermatology care. As the Director of Physical Products, you will lead the end-to-end lifecycle of every physical product we bring to market. This is a high-impact, "player-coach" leadership role owning everything from CPG supply chain optimization to the launch of revolutionary, first-to-market custom prescription products.
What You’ll Do
Launch New Products: Own the end-to-end commercialization of our flagship clinical innovations.
Optimize the CPG Stack: Take over our current supply chain and repackage existing OTC products to be market-competitive and brand-forward.
Scale the Portfolio: Launch additional OTC products from inception to availability.
Your Core Responsibilities
Launch Leadership: Own the roadmap for OTC and compounded Rx products. Lead cross-functional workstreams across R&D, legal, and growth.
Supply Chain Ownership: Manage full-cycle sourcing, CMO partnerships, and logistics. Negotiate pricing, MOQs, and quality agreements.
Forecasting & S&OP: Own demand planning and inventory health. Partner with Finance to align production with high-growth sales targets.
Packaging & Compliance: Drive structural design and materials selection while ensuring strict FDA/OTC labeling compliance.
What We’re Looking For
The Non-Negotiables:
7–12+ years of CPG product management or physical product leadership, with a strong focus on skincare, personal care, or consumables.
Demonstrated track record of bringing multiple consumer products to market: owning the full launch cycle from concept through retail/e-commerce availability.
Industry relationships and deep expertise in supply chain ownership: manufacturing partnerships, sourcing, logistics, and vendor negotiations.
Hands-on experience with demand forecasting, inventory planning, and S&OP in a product company.
Strong command of packaging development - both structural and regulatory - including labeling compliance for OTC or regulated products.
Experience developing product positioning and go-to-market strategy in collaboration with marketing and commercial teams.
The Nice-to-Haves:
Experience in compounded prescription, pharmaceutical, or OTC drug product development and commercialization.
Background working with first-to-market or category-creating products; experience launching compounded medications or navigating 503A/503B compounding pharmacy relationships is a strong plus.
Familiarity with FDA regulatory frameworks for compounded drugs, cosmetics, OTC drugs, and/or dietary supplements.
Experience at a high-growth startup or brand transitioning from startup to scale.
Working knowledge of clinical testing protocols, stability studies, and efficacy validation in the context of consumer products.
You’ll Thrive Here If You Are:
A builder. You’re energized by creating things from scratch and have the scar tissue to prove it.
An operator. You hold high standards for execution and you hold your partners to them too - timelines, cost targets, quality specs.
A systems thinker. You see how supply chain decisions affect margin, how forecasting affects customer experience, and how packaging decisions affect brand.
A collaborator. You work seamlessly across functions - finance, marketing, regulatory, creative - and you earn trust at every level.
Consumer-obsessed. You understand that every product decision ultimately shows up in the hands of a real person, and you never lose sight of that.
Why Honeydew?
Leadership & Equity: A seat at the table in one of America’s fastest-growing health-tech companies.
Revolutionary Impact: A chance to launch products at the frontier of dermatology care that change people’s lives.
Benefits: Full remote flexibility, health insurance + HSA match, 401(k) + match, flexible PTO, and a $100/mo tech stipend.
This role is fully remote with a preference for someone in NYC and supporting EST working hours. You may travel up to 30%.
