The Federal Grants and State Coordinator oversees and is responsible for the accurate submission of federal and state reporting required under statute and regulation including submission of all collections required for state aid per-pupil funding and/or categorical funding. This position is essential to state funding. The Coordinator prepares and submits various end-of-school -ear reports and collections as required by the state. As part of the maintenance and reporting of student data to the state, the Coordinator works with the schools in the state to ensure that reports accurately reflect students’ participation in the schools’ programs

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.
Prepares and submits all compliancy, funding, and student data reports as required by state law
Manages databases for school state reporting, state database for compliancy, and compliance cabinet for school sponsor
Develops policies, processes, and procedures regarding state reporting, collection of information, and adherence to state guidelines
Communicates regularly with schools to ensure they are aware of reporting requirements and information needed for reporting
Coordinates communication and submission of necessary documents to ensure compliancy and accuracy of reports
Attends all state trainings regarding requirements and guidance dealing with compliance and funding on an annual basis
Coordinates communication with the various State departments and stakeholders in order to meet all state reporting deadlines
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree(s) or equivalent or demonstration of necessary skills
Three (3) years’ experience OR
Equivalent combination of education and experience
Certificates and Licenses: None required.
OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong knowledge of Federal and State education regulations
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to project manage, adhere to timelines and due dates, and organize data effectively;
Strong written and verbal communication sills
Basic knowledge of state reporting structure and laws regarding state funding’
Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint,); Web proficiency; Proficiency using a student information system and/or similar type of database software
Ability to travel 10% of the time, as required for training, school-wide professional development and as needed basis
Ability to clear required background check
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience with state Department of Education systems
