This role is a hands-on finance position focused on supporting core accounting operations within a fast-growing SaaS environment. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing transactional finance activities, and supporting timely reporting and compliance processes. The position plays a key role in ensuring the integrity of financial data across accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions. You will contribute directly to month-end and year-end close cycles while supporting audits and regulatory requirements under US GAAP. Working closely with senior finance leadership, you will also assist in improving processes and strengthening financial controls as the business scales. • Accountabilities In this role, you will manage day-to-day accounting operations while supporting financial reporting, compliance, and process improvement initiatives. You will ensure accuracy across financial records and contribute to smooth and timely close cycles in coordination with the broader finance team. Manage core finance and accounting operations, including AP, AR, billing, collections, and reconciliations Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes Prepare financial statements, MIS reports, schedules, and supporting documentation Maintain compliance with US GAAP standards across accounting activities Assist with SaaS-specific accounting processes, including revenue recognition, deferred revenue, accruals, and prepaid expenses Support audits, compliance reviews, and financial documentation requirements Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, payroll, operations, and business teams Assist in finance projects, reporting enhancements, and process improvement initiatives Requirements The ideal candidate has strong hands-on accounting experience, particularly in SaaS or US-based startup environments. You are highly detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced setting. Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com/M.Com) or equivalent qualification; CA/CMA (semi-qualified or qualified) preferred 4–6 years of finance and accounting experience 2–3 years of experience in SaaS or software industry accounting required Strong experience with AP, AR, GL, reconciliations, and month-end close processes Solid understanding of US GAAP and startup financial reporting requirements Familiarity with SaaS accounting concepts such as revenue recognition, deferred revenue, and subscription billing (ASC 606 preferred) Proficiency in Excel and hands-on experience with ERPs such as QuickBooks, Zoho, Xero, or similar systems Strong ownership mindset with ability to manage multiple priorities independently Excellent attention to detail, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills Problem-solving attitude with a willingness to improve processes and build structure Benefits Opportunity to work in a fast-growing SaaS environment Exposure to US GAAP-based accounting and global finance practices Hands-on experience across end-to-end finance operations Collaboration with senior finance leadership on strategic projects Career growth opportunities in a scaling startup environment Dynamic, ownership-driven work culture Cross-functional exposure across business, HR, payroll, and operations Involvement in process improvement and finance transformation initiatives
