Job Title: HR Assistant

Location: South Africa

Job Type: Full-Time, Remote

Working Hours: US Hours (9am-5pm EST)

Salary: South African Rand (ZAR)

Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Assistant to support the Human Resources team. This role provides administrative and recruitment support across the employee lifecycle, including recruitment coordination, onboarding, HR administration, and maintaining accurate employee records.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Human Resources team.
  • Assist with recruitment activities, including reviewing applications, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates.
  • Coordinate onboarding processes and ensure all required documentation is completed.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
  • Assist with interview coordination and candidate tracking.
  • Support employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Prepare employment documents, contracts, and HR correspondence.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and employment regulations.
  • Maintain confidentiality when handling employee information.
  • Assist with HR projects and process improvements as required.

  • Previous recruiting, staffing, HR, or interviewing experience is required.
  • Experience working within ahealthcare environment is preferred.
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills with a clear, neutral accent.
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build professional relationships.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable learning new HR systems.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Reliable internet connection and suitable home office setup.
