This role is a senior compliance position focused on ensuring insurance products meet all applicable federal, state, and regulatory requirements while enabling business growth and product innovation. The Insurance Product Compliance Lead plays a critical role in assessing regulatory risk, interpreting complex insurance laws, and guiding cross-functional teams through product filings, approvals, and ongoing compliance obligations. Acting as a key liaison with internal stakeholders and external regulators, this professional helps shape compliant strategies for product design, service area expansions, and member-facing communications. The role requires strong judgment, regulatory expertise, and the ability to influence decision-making in a highly matrixed environment. You will work independently on complex compliance matters while supporting enterprise-wide initiatives tied to Medicare Advantage and specialty insurance products. This is a high-impact role where regulatory precision directly supports member trust and business continuity.
  • Accountabilities: Research, interpret, and analyze federal and state insurance regulations, sub-regulatory guidance, and compliance requirements applicable to Medicare Advantage, Part D, and specialty insurance products. Support the drafting, filing, and negotiation of regulatory approvals for service area expansions, product updates, contracts, licensing, and member communications. Act as a primary compliance liaison between internal business units and external regulatory bodies, ensuring timely and accurate submissions and responses. Evaluate product designs, marketing materials, and operational processes to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and corporate compliance standards. Advise business leaders and executives on compliance risks and regulatory implications to support strategic decision-making and product development. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and maintain compliant insurance products and ensure ongoing adherence to regulatory obligations. Requirements: Experience working with Medicare Advantage and/or Medicaid products, with strong knowledge of related regulatory frameworks. Solid understanding of state and federal insurance regulations, with the ability to interpret and apply complex compliance requirements. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, Visio) for documentation, analysis, and presentations. Ability to independently manage priorities, interpret complex information, and meet strict internal and external deadlines. Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical regulatory content for diverse audiences, including executives and stakeholders. Experience influencing decisions within a matrixed organization using data, regulatory insight, and structured arguments. Preferred experience with Medicare Advantage plan design, DSNP products, state agency interactions, or healthcare product management. Benefits: Competitive annual salary ranging from $94,900 to $130,500, based on experience and qualifications. Eligibility for performance-based bonus incentives. Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and supplemental insurance options. Retirement savings plan (401(k)) with additional employer contributions. Generous paid time off, including holidays, vacation, personal days, parental leave, and volunteer time off. Tuition reimbursement and educational support programs for employees and eligible dependents. Remote work flexibility with occasional travel for training or meetings.
