Key Responsibilities

  • Review, assess, and moderate user-generated content published on social media platforms in Italian, ensuring full compliance with community guidelines and platform policies.
  • Identify and action harmful, misleading, abusive, or policy-violating content, including hate speech, misinformation, graphic material, and spam, with accuracy and sound judgement.
  • Escalate complex or high-priority content moderation cases to senior teams or specialised departments in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain detailed records of moderation decisions, actions taken, and case outcomes using internal content management systems.
  • Monitor emerging social media trends, viral content, and potential platform risks within Italian-speaking communities, and flag relevant patterns proactively.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Trust & Safety, Quality Assurance, and Policy specialists, to uphold the highest content standards.
  • Participate in ongoing training sessions and calibration meetings to stay aligned with evolving social media platform policies and moderation best practices.
  • Contribute constructive feedback on content policy gaps and moderation workflows to help improve the overall safety and user experience of the platform.

  • Native or fluent Italian language skills (both written and spoken) are essential — this is a non-negotiable requirement for all applicants.
  • Valid EU passport or EU citizenship (mandatory for relocation and employment eligibility).
  • A genuine interest in and understanding of social media platforms, digital content ecosystems, and online community dynamics.
  • Strong analytical thinking, sound ethical judgement, and the ability to make quick, accurate decisions under pressure in a fast-paced social media environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to evaluate large volumes of content consistently and objectively while adhering to strict platform guidelines.
  • A professional, resilient mindset and the ability to handle exposure to sensitive or challenging content in a responsible and well-supported workplace setting.
