Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
Work Arrangement: Remote/Telehealth
Location: Rhode Island
Position Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $115,000–$120,000 per year with full benefits
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
The Work
Clients often seek counseling when mental health symptoms begin affecting work, relationships, decision-making, or everyday routines. In this position, you will help clients identify what is getting in the way, develop realistic treatment goals, and build skills they can use outside of therapy.
Core Responsibilities
- Complete behavioral health and psychosocial assessments
- Establish diagnoses within professional scope
- Create clear and measurable care plans
- Deliver scheduled virtual counseling sessions
- Evaluate client response to treatment
- Master’s or doctoral degree in mental health counseling or an allied field
- Active Rhode Island clinical mental health counselor license in good standing
- Two or more years of relevant postgraduate experience
- Background in outpatient or community mental health care
- Sound judgment when evaluating clinical risk
