Freelance Media Specialist – Greece
Project-based | 2–3 days | September 2026
We are looking for an experienced Greek Media Specialist to support an upcoming short-term project in September. The ideal candidate will have an established network across the Greek media landscape and a strong track record of securing meaningful media coverage.
Key Responsibilities
- Leverage strong existing relationships across Greek media, including broadcast, television, radio, business, news and other relevant media channels.
- Proactively pitch stories and opportunities to journalists, editors, producers and media contacts.
- Secure relevant, high-quality media coverage aligned with the project objectives.
- Identify the most appropriate media outlets and contacts for different stories and audiences.
- Manage media outreach and follow-up throughout the project.
- Provide advice on the Greek media landscape and the best approach to generating coverage.
- Strong, current network of contacts across a broad range of Greek media, rather than expertise limited to one sector or channel.
- Proven media relations and PR experience within Greece.
- Demonstrable track record of successfully pitching and securing coverage, not simply maintaining media databases or distributing press releases.
- Strong understanding of Greek broadcast, TV, radio, business and news media.
- Fluent Greek and strong English communication skills.
- Able to work independently and move quickly within a short project timeframeAvailability
