As we continue expanding across multiple states, we're looking for an experienced Medical Records & Health Information Manager to build and lead our Health Information Management (HIM) function from the ground up.

๐ What You'll Do
As our Medical Records & Health Information Manager, you'll:
๐ Lead all medical records and release of information operations
๐ Ensure compliance with HIPAA, state regulations, payer requirements, and CARF standards
โ๏ธ Design and implement scalable HIM workflows, policies, and tracking systems
๐ Develop reporting metrics to improve efficiency, accuracy, and turnaround times
๐ค Partner with Compliance, Legal, Clinical Operations, Technology, and Quality teams
๐ Train and support staff on medical records processes, documentation standards, and privacy best practices
๐ก๏ธ Serve as the organization's subject matter expert for health information management and patient access rights
โ What We're Looking For
We're seeking someone who brings:
- 3+ years of experience in Health Information Management, Medical Records, Release of Information, Healthcare Compliance, or a related healthcare operations role (5+ years preferred)
- Strong working knowledge of HIPAA Privacy Rules and medical records regulations
- Experience managing high-volume medical records requests and sensitive documentation
- Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Experience developing workflows, policies, SOPs, and process improvements
- Confidence handling complex or legally sensitive requests with sound judgment
- Outstanding communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
โญ RHIA, RHIT, CHPS, CHPC, CHP, or similar certification (or actively pursuing certification)
โญ Experience in behavioral health, pediatrics, Medicaid, telehealth, CARF accreditation, or multi-state healthcare operations
โญ Familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs), patient portals, secure health information exchange, and release-of-information vendors
