Job Description

Responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime. This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 operational environment. 

Key Responsibilities 

Monitoring & Incident Management 

  • Monitor network infrastructure, systems, and applications using various monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios, Zabbix) 
  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve network issues, escalating complex problems to senior engineers when necessary 
  • Respond to alerts and incidents in accordance with established SLAs and priority levels.
  • Perform root cause analysis on recurring incidents and implement preventive measures.
  • Document all incidents, actions taken, and resolutions in the ticketing system.

Network Operations 

  • Maintain network availability and performance across enterprise infrastructure 
  • Perform regular health checks on network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless controllers and load balancers 
  • Monitor bandwidth utilization and capacity planning metrics 
  • Execute network changes during scheduled maintenance windows 
  • Maintain up-to-date network documentation and diagrams

System Administration 

  • Monitor server performance, disk space, and application availability 
  • Perform basic system administration tasks on Windows and Linux servers 
  • Monitor backup systems and ensure successful completion of scheduled backups 
  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers for issue resolution

Communication & Reporting 

  • Provide timely status updates to stakeholders during incidents 
  • Generate and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports 
  • Participate in shift handover meetings to ensure continuity of operations 
  • Maintain clear and professional communication with technical and non-technical personnel

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 1+ years network operations or NOC experience 
  • Incident management and escalation handling 
  • Experience coordinating with field technicians and dispatch operations 
  • Hands-on experience with network monitoring tools and systems 
  • Experience working in a 24/7 operational environment 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities 
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team 
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal 
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage multiple priorities 
  • Strong customer service orientation 
  • Preferred: CCNA, CCNP, Ruckus Certified, Aruba Certified, Meraki Certified or other networking-related certifications (CompTIA Network+, CWNA, Fortinet NSE) 
  • Willing to work onsite
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
