  • This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a PLM Technical Consultant based in United States. The PLM Technical Consultant will be responsible for managing and optimizing enterprise Product Lifecycle Management platforms that support engineering, manufacturing, and product development operations. This role focuses on the technical ownership of PLM environments, including administration, upgrades, integrations, performance tuning, and platform reliability. The ideal candidate will help ensure secure, scalable, and highly available PLM ecosystems while collaborating with cross-functional teams. This position offers the opportunity to work on complex enterprise environments, improve operational efficiency, and implement modern engineering practices.   • Accountabilities: The PLM Technical Consultant will oversee the technical operations of enterprise PLM platforms, ensuring performance, reliability, security, and scalability across development, testing, and production environments. Install, configure, administer, and support PLM environments using platforms such as PTC Windchill and Siemens Teamcenter. Manage PLM application servers, web servers, database connectivity, and platform components. Lead PLM upgrades, patches, migrations, and system enhancements while minimizing operational disruption. Operate and maintain file vaults, replication services, CAD data management systems, and related PLM infrastructure. Design and implement high availability and disaster recovery strategies for critical PLM environments. Optimize PLM platform performance through query tuning, caching strategies, indexing improvements, and JVM tuning. Manage user provisioning, security configurations, access controls, and audit support processes. Operate PLM integration brokers, middleware connectors, and supporting enterprise integrations. Develop automation solutions using shell scripting, Python, Ansible, or similar technologies to improve operational efficiency. Monitor PLM system health using native monitoring tools and enterprise observability platforms. Provide post-production support, troubleshoot incidents, identify root causes, and implement long-term fixes. Maintain detailed technical documentation including architecture diagrams, configuration guides, operational procedures, and support runbooks. Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through knowledge sharing, technical guidance, and best practice development. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance PLM reliability, security, and operational maturity. Requirements: The ideal candidate will have strong PLM administration experience, enterprise infrastructure knowledge, and the ability to manage complex technical environments. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline. 5+ years of experience managing and supporting enterprise PLM platforms. Hands-on experience with PTC Windchill or Siemens Teamcenter in production environments. Strong experience with PLM upgrades, migrations, configuration, and platform lifecycle management. Knowledge of Oracle and SQL Server database administration in support of enterprise applications. Strong Linux/Unix administration skills and experience supporting application infrastructure. Experience designing and operating high availability and disaster recovery solutions. Familiarity with PLM integrations, middleware platforms, and enterprise system connectivity. Experience with automation and scripting using shell, Python, Ansible, or similar tools. Strong troubleshooting, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Excellent technical documentation and communication abilities. Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, manufacturing, functional teams, and technical stakeholders. Experience operating PLM environments in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or OCI is preferred. Exposure to infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD practices, CAD integrations, and PLM certifications is a plus.
