Job Description
A day in the life:
The project manager's day revolves around managing the intake of project or task requests, assessing their scope, and assigning them to the appropriate team members based on their bandwidth and expertise. The PM provides continuous support to the team, ensuring tasks are completed on time and meet quality standards by conducting thorough QA checks before delivering them to clients. The PM maintains clear communication with both internal teams and clients, ensuring alignment on expectations and project requirements. Regular progress updates are shared with stakeholders, while the PM also proactively resolves any roadblocks to ensure smooth project execution. Additionally, the PM stays focused on fostering a collaborative environment by working closely with both internal teams and clients to ensure the successful delivery of web projects.
Responsibilities:
- Client Relationship Management: Serve as the main point of contact for assigned clients, fostering strong relationships and understanding their business objectives. Conduct regular meetings and communication with clients to gather feedback and provide updates
- Project Oversight: Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of projects, ensuring they are aligned with client goals and agency standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, and development teams, or other PDM services to ensure project deliverables are met on time and are of high quality
- Communication: Communicate project status, updates, and recommendations clearly to clients and internal teams. Address client concerns, issues, and feedback in a proactive and professional manner
- POD Coordination & Alignment: Act as the central coordinator across the pod, partnering with Account Directors and assigning tasks to designers and developers to ensure efficient execution. Align priorities, manage resource allocation, and ensure all team members have clear direction, timelines, and requirements to successfully deliver against client goals.
- Client Portfolio: Manages a diverse client portfolio spanning both project-based engagements and ongoing retainers, with responsibility for accounts totaling $40K or more in monthly recurring revenue, or overseeing 10–25 clients per pod.
- Client Retention: Maintain 85% of MRR from your client book of business
- Team Support: Step in to lead as AM across other accounts outside of your book of business when deemed necessary
- Employ AI technologies to enhance and optimize business processes
- Utilize and leverage Power Digital's Nova ecosystem as it relates to your department
Role Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university, or one to two years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2-4 years of Agency experience
- 1-3 years of experience in managing website development and design projects.
- Extensive knowledge of advancements and trends in web design and UX.
- Knowledge of Wordpress and Shopify
- Basic understanding of Web Based language Java, HTML, or PHP preferred..
- Exceptional ability to contribute creativity and innovation to web projects.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Experience working with teams of 10 or more.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Client Relationship & communication: Acknowledges all client Slack/email messages within 2-3 business hours and provides substantive updates within 1 business day. Share agendas 24 hrs before calls and send meeting recap + action items within 24 hrs after.
- Client Portfolio: Manages a portfolio of $37+ in monthly recurring revenue (MRR) or 10-25 clients within the pod, between retainer and/or projects ensuring consistent performance, delivery, and strategic support across all accounts.
- The Client book revenue per Project Manager is $6,500
- Client Retention: Maintain at least 85% MRR retention across the managed client portfolio.
- Resource & Tools Management: Maintain operational excellence across projects by ensuring 90% of tasks and projects are delivered on time, meeting both client and internal deadlines, and achieving 100% ticket hygiene in Asana (every active ticket includes acceptance criteria, links/assets, owner, estimate, due date, and status).
- Product quality & results: Ensures a QA rework rate of 5% of deliverables, post-live rate of 2-3 issues per deliverable within the entire book of business and projects.
- Client Satisfaction: Achieve an average client satisfaction score of 4.5 out of 5 on feedback surveys within the first 3 and 6 months with the client.
- Client Escalation: Ensure client escalations are resolved and churn is avoided by maintaining 95% escalations closed with the client retained and active 60 days post resolution, proactively and accurately logging 100% of escalations on a weekly basis in the CS Sentiment Sheet
