Job Description
M9 Solutions is seeking a Quantitative Engineer / Python Developer to work remotely in support of a contract for a client located in San Antonio, TX.
Responsibilities
- Write quantitative and statistical functions in Python inside the client's existing plug-in framework.
- Build and validate models - signals, statistical analysis, quantitative methods applied to financial data.
- Run work against the framework's test suite and deliver against defined project scopes.
- Work on AWS-hosted infrastructure.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Work Authorization: US Citizenship or Permanent Resident Status.
- 2+ years of experience writing Python for quantitative or statistical modeling - not scripting, not data cleaning, but building and applying models.
- Real depth in mathematics and statistics, including probability, distributions, regression, and time series; ability to explain methods used and the reasoning behind them.
- Applied experience working with financial or market data.
- Working knowledge of AWS.
- Ability to take a defined problem and run with it independently, with minimal oversight.
