Responsibilities
- Develop procurement request packages and support end-to-end acquisition lifecycle activities, including planning, solicitation, award, administration, and closeout in support of federal leads
- Provide program management support to the conducting of acquisition management reviews, assessments, and analyses at the program level
- Collaborate with Contracting Officers (COs), Contracting Officer’s Representatives (CORs), program offices, and cross-functional teams to execute on contractual mission requirements
- Monitor acquisition performance using metrics and recommend process improvements for overall procurement execution
- Provide contract administration support, including invoice review, post-award conference support, contract file documentation, and related correspondence
- Direct core acquisition functions, including program baseline support, acquisition risk management, and comprehensive acquisition planning
- Review project deliverables, including artifacts to ensure adherence to team compliance and quality standards
- Develop, gather and disseminate information and documentation among both business and technical customers in support of the overall program
- Establish effective project communication plans and ensure their execution
- Leverage advanced writing skills to translate complicated issues from multiple information sources into a clear point of view to create a compelling, concise, and well-written narrative
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree (or commensurate experience)
- 12+ years of experience work in dynamic customer delivery environments (2 years of experience may be removed for a masters degree)
- Direct experience in government acquisitions and/or contract management functions in a Law enforcement specific environment
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Direct experience as a federal contracting officer
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong understanding of the government acquisition lifecycle processes and documentation
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities
- Ability to lead in an extremely fast-paced environment.
- Ability to foster collaborative relationships with other team and external stakeholders
- Be flexible to change direction on a moment’s notice while also tracking/executing tasks in progress
- Ability to think “outside of the box” while communicating or dealing with a variety of situations
Clearance Required:
- Ability to attain and maintain DHS clearance (US citizenship required)
