- Accountabilities In this role, you will provide strategic leadership for US Medical Affairs activities in COPD while guiding field execution, scientific engagement, and team development across a geographically distributed organization. Define and communicate clear strategic direction for US Medical Affairs in COPD, ensuring alignment with enterprise and therapeutic priorities. Lead and coach Field Medical Affairs professionals to execute high-quality scientific engagement and insight generation. Translate medical and scientific strategy into actionable field plans with measurable outcomes and strong compliance adherence. Foster a culture of psychological safety, accountability, inclusion, and continuous learning across the team. Ensure scientific rigor and integrity in all external and internal medical interactions, maintaining compliance with regulatory and governance standards. Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership by delivering field insights that inform strategic decision-making. Oversee performance management, goal setting, and operational tracking using data-driven tools and metrics. Contribute to budget planning and ensure responsible stewardship of organizational resources. Requirements This role requires strong clinical and scientific expertise combined with proven leadership experience in field medical affairs, ideally within respiratory or related therapeutic areas. Advanced clinical degree (MD, PhD, PharmD, DNP, or DO) with strong scientific credibility. 5+ years of experience in field medical affairs or customer-facing medical roles, including leadership responsibilities preferred. Deep knowledge of respiratory disease areas, particularly COPD, and understanding of clinical practice and pharmacology. Demonstrated experience leading, coaching, and developing scientific or medical teams in a complex healthcare environment. Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders. Proven ability to manage change, prioritize effectively, and drive performance in a dynamic environment. Strong understanding of compliance, medical governance, and regulatory frameworks in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry. Experience leveraging data, metrics, and digital tools to support decision-making and measure impact.
