We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to take ownership of critical modules within a scalable, cloud-native platform for a leading health industry client. You'll work hands-on across Java (Spring Boot), Node.js, and React, driving technical decisions end-to-end while partnering closely with cross-functional engineering and product teams. This is a role for someone ready to move beyond writing code into shaping how it gets built.
What you will do:
Backend & Microservices Engineering
- Design and build scalable microservices using Java (Spring Boot) and Node.js.
- Build and maintain REST and/or GraphQL APIs, ensuring performance and scalability.
- Debug and resolve production issues, improving overall system reliability.
Frontend Development
- Develop and maintain frontend components using React.
- Collaborate closely with frontend and backend teams to deliver cohesive, end-to-end features.
Technical Leadership & Delivery Ownership
- Own end-to-end delivery of modules, from design through development, testing, and deployment.
- Lead technical decisions, factoring in architecture, performance, and non-functional requirements.
- Collaborate across cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality product delivery.
Cloud & DevOps
- Deploy and operate applications in cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Tools & Technologies:
- Platforms & Infrastructure: Java (Spring Boot), Node.js, React, Microservices architecture.
- Security & DevSecOps: CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, observability & monitoring tools (nice to have),
- Cloud & IaC: Azure, AWS, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes (nice to have), Kafka / event-driven messaging (nice to have).
What you bring: Experience:
7–10 years in full-stack or backend development, with strong hands-on Java + Spring Boot and solid Node.js backend experience; mandatory hands-on React experience (not just exposure); proven experience with microservices architecture, cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP), REST/GraphQL APIs, and NoSQL databases (Cosmos DB preferred).
- Consulting / Leadership: Comfortable influencing architecture and design decisions, leading technical modules, and guiding execution across a team, not just implementing tickets.
- Mindset: Ownership-driven, collaborative, and reliability-focused, with a proactive approach to solving production issues and delivering in Agile, cross-functional environments.
- Nice to have: Experience with AI/ML integrations (APIs, copilots, LLM usage), event-driven architectures (Kafka), containerized deployments (Docker/Kubernetes), and exposure to innovation initiatives or POV development
- Education & Location: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with the ability to work remotely from LatAm (Mexico, Costa Rica, Colombia, Peru, Chile, Argentina, or Brazil) aligned to EST hours.
