You will work on complex backend and integration systems that connect large-scale healthcare data sources across public and private sectors. The position involves full-cycle software development, from design and coding to testing and deployment, within a highly collaborative engineering environment. You will play a key role in enhancing system performance, data integrity, and scalability of healthcare platforms used at national scale. The role requires strong technical depth in Java ecosystems, databases, and web services, along with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote setup. This is a high-impact engineering position where your contributions directly support improved healthcare outcomes and data-driven decisions.
• Accountabilities In this role, you will be responsible for building, maintaining, and enhancing scalable Java-based applications that power healthcare data systems and analytics platforms: Develop, test, and deploy high-quality Java applications across the full software development lifecycle. Design and maintain backend systems using Java frameworks such as Spring and related technologies. Build and integrate RESTful web services and APIs for data exchange across healthcare systems. Work with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server) and write optimized SQL queries for performance and reliability. Participate in Agile SCRUM teams, contributing to sprint planning, reviews, and continuous improvement. Apply SDLC best practices including version control, CI/CD, unit testing, and test-driven development. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system scalability, security, and data integrity. Support frontend integration using JavaScript frameworks and UI technologies when required. Requirements We are looking for a highly experienced Java developer with strong backend engineering expertise and exposure to enterprise-scale applications, preferably in healthcare environments: 8+ years of experience in Java application development. Strong experience with Java frameworks such as Spring, Struts, JSF, Play, or similar. Hands-on experience with application servers like Tomcat or Oracle AS. Strong knowledge of RESTful web services, XML, HTML, CSS, and backend integration. Solid experience with relational databases such as Oracle or SQL Server and advanced SQL skills. 3–5 years of experience with JavaScript frameworks such as jQuery or AngularJS. Strong understanding of SDLC, CI/CD, version control, and Agile SCRUM methodologies. Ability to work independently in a remote environment with strong accountability. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and strong analytical thinking. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work on complex technical challenges.
