Job Description
  • This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Manager, UX based in Canada. This is a high-impact UX leadership role responsible for shaping connected experiences across a global go-to-market and marketplace ecosystem. You will lead and develop a talented international team of UX designers while setting a strategic vision for the end-to-end customer journey. The scope spans marketing touchpoints, digital experiences, learning pathways, commerce, licensing, and marketplace interactions. You’ll bring a systems-thinking approach to complex products and integrations, ensuring experiences feel seamless across multiple touchpoints. Working closely with Marketing, Commercial, Product, and Engineering leaders, you’ll connect design strategy with broader business objectives. The role also offers an opportunity to champion AI-driven innovation and emerging technologies that can transform how users discover, learn, and create. It is an ideal opportunity for an experienced design leader who enjoys solving complex problems at global scale and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Accountabilities: Lead, mentor, and scale a global UX design team, fostering an inclusive culture centered on innovation, collaboration, high-quality execution, and continuous development. Own the UX strategy for the end-to-end go-to-market journey, connecting marketing experiences, digital platforms, learning pathways, commerce, and marketplace interactions. Define and evolve a cohesive user experience strategy that considers the broader ecosystem rather than optimizing individual products or touchpoints in isolation. Oversee the design of complex commerce experiences, including purchasing workflows, licensing, entitlements, and related customer journeys. Provide UX leadership for marketplace and asset-related experiences, ensuring they integrate naturally with the wider product ecosystem. Apply systems thinking and design methodologies to navigate complex integrations, dependencies, and user journeys across multiple platforms. Partner with senior Marketing, Commercial, Product, and Engineering stakeholders to align UX priorities with strategic business goals and customer needs. Champion innovative approaches to UX, including the thoughtful application of AI and emerging technologies to improve user experiences. Lead design reviews, communicate strategic recommendations, and influence decisions with senior leadership and cross-functional teams. Requirements: Extensive experience in UX or product design leadership, including a proven track record of managing, mentoring, and growing global design teams. Demonstrated ability to establish and execute a strategic UX vision across interconnected products, platforms, and customer journeys. Strong understanding of complex systems, integrations, and the design principles required to create unified experiences across multiple touchpoints. Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills, with the ability to facilitate design discussions, present to senior leadership, and influence cross-functional decisions. Experience designing for commerce platforms, marketplaces, licensing environments, or other complex transactional ecosystems is highly valued. Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance customer needs, technical constraints, business priorities, and long-term product vision. Strong technical curiosity and an interest in emerging technologies, including AI and innovative tools that enable creativity and improve user experiences. Ability to work effectively in a global, cross-functional environment with senior stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Commercial functions. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in Computer Science, Design, Engineering, Business, or a related field is preferred. Experience in AR/VR, 3D environments, game engines, or related creative technology ecosystems would be an advantage. Professional fluency in English is required due to frequent communication with colleagues and partners worldwide. Benefits: Remote work opportunity in Ontario, Canada, with a global and collaborative working environment. Competitive base salary ranging from CAD $137,800 to $206,600 in one compensation zone and CAD $148,800 to $223,200 in another, depending on primary work location and qualifications. Potential eligibility for equity awards and company incentive programs, including discretionary bonuses. Comprehensive health, life, and disability insurance. Competitive retirement and pension programs. Generous vacation and personal days. Family and parental support programs, including leave and family-care resources. Mental health and wellbeing programs, plus access to a global employee assistance program. Employee resource groups and initiatives supporting an inclusive workplace. Training, learning, and professional development opportunities. Employee stock ownership opportunities. Commute subsidies where applicable. Office food and snack programs where applicable. Volunteering and donation-matching programs. Relocation support and work visa/immigration sponsorship are not available for this position.
