  • Amazon Flex is part of Last Mile Technology that works with independent contractors known as Delivery Partners (DPs) to perform deliveries to Amazon customers. Flex Pricing maintains an ecosystem of services whose main responsibility is to show appropriate prices for available work (deliveries) shown to DPs as Offers by the Scheduling Systems. As Sr. Program Manager, Flex Pricing you will be responsible for building and maintaining the Flex pricing strategy for Japan. You will build a holistic vision to ensure that our pricing is competitive and meets business objectives while enhancing the delivery partner experience. You will work cross-functionally to create automated pricing tools and optimize pricing decisions through data-driven insights. Key job responsibilities • Own the end-to-end Flex pricing strategy for Japan, ensuring pricing is competitive, cost-effective, and aligned with business objectives. • Develop comprehensive pricing frameworks leveraging machine learning models and data-driven insights to vend appropriate prices to Delivery Partners. • Build and maintain automated pricing tools that optimize pricing decisions across the Flex ecosystem (price availability and price appropriateness sub-systems). • Establish competitive intelligence strategies and enable teams to make data-driven pricing decisions that optimize delivery partner acquisition, retention, and cost to serve. • Scope and deliver complex, business-critical pricing programs end-to-end; drive and shape the overall program strategy and roadmap. • Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Technology, Science, Finance, and Marketing teams to take pricing initiatives from incubation through delivery. • Develop and maintain project plans, identify resource needs, and manage project schedules; collaborate effectively across teams to agree timelines and deliverables. • Communicate pricing strategy, trade-offs, and results to senior leadership; write narratives (6-pagers, MBR/QBR documents) and present to leadership. • Drive continuous improvement by analyzing operational data and processes to identify trends, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities in pricing performance. • Influence stakeholders across multiple VP organizations (WW Flex, Business teams in Japan) and serve as an escalation point for complex pricing issues.
Basic Qualifications
  • - 5+ years of program or project management experience - Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership - Bachelor's degree - 5+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience - Experience leading cross-functional projects and managing large, complicated programs - Experience communicating clearly and concisely with leadership, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams - Experience performing complex business case analysis to justify technical decisions and presenting the justification to management in a high-level review
Preferred Qualifications
  • - Master's degree or above in management, business administration, economics, engineering, marketing - Speak, write, and read fluently in Japanese - Experience in at least one of the related science disciplines (optimization - LP, MIP, statistics, machine learning, process control, combinatorial optimization) - Experience in program management, logistics, operations, supply chain, transportation, or equivalent - SQL proficiency and experience working with large datasets. - Project Management certification (PMP or equivalent). - Experience in the Japan market or APAC region.
