• The Amazon Web Services EC2 team located in Herndon, VA is actively recruiting for experienced Senior Software Engineers interested in working on two new projects we announced at re:invent; Outpost and Wavelength. Outpost brings native AWS services, infrastructure, and operation models to virtually any data center, co-location space, or on-premises facility. Wavelength brings AWS services to the edge of the 5G network, minimizing the latency to connect to an application from a mobile device. These are exciting, challenging new product that has the potential to re-define the industry. Basic Qualifications

• - 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience - 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience - 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience - Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
