This role is a high-impact operational leadership position focused on driving large-scale manufacturing transformation across a global industrial network. You will work directly on the shop floor to improve safety, quality, productivity, and flow, applying lean manufacturing principles in real production environments. The position plays a key role in supporting manufacturing sites during periods of growth, complexity, or operational strain, ensuring stable and efficient performance. You will lead hands-on improvement initiatives, facilitate structured workshops, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve critical operational challenges. This role combines strategic transformation thinking with practical execution, requiring strong field presence and the ability to influence at all organizational levels. - Accountabilities In this role, you will lead cross-functional transformation initiatives across manufacturing sites, focusing on improving safety, quality, capacity, and operational flow. You will apply lean manufacturing methodologies directly on the shop floor, including value stream mapping, line balancing, waste elimination, and layout optimization. You will facilitate Kaizen events, 3P workshops, and other structured continuous improvement activities to identify inefficiencies and implement sustainable solutions. A key part of your role will involve working closely with site teams to diagnose bottlenecks, enhance material flow, and improve operational ergonomics and productivity. You will also provide hands-on support during periods of high demand or operational disruption, ensuring continuity and performance stability. In addition, you will identify risks early, recommend corrective actions, and share best practices across global manufacturing locations to support broader transformation goals. Lead operational transformation initiatives across global manufacturing sites Apply lean manufacturing tools such as VSM, Kaizen, line balancing, and waste reduction Facilitate continuous improvement workshops (Kaizen, 3P, and similar methodologies) Identify and resolve production bottlenecks to improve throughput and efficiency Improve material flow, workplace ergonomics, and shop floor processes Provide on-site operational support during peak demand or instability periods Develop and implement corrective actions to mitigate operational risks Share best practices and improvement insights across global sites Requirements The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in manufacturing engineering, operations excellence, or industrial transformation roles, with a strong background in hands-on shop floor execution. You have a proven track record of applying lean manufacturing principles in complex production environments and driving measurable operational improvements. A degree in industrial, manufacturing, mechanical engineering, or a related field is required, with an advanced degree considered a plus. You demonstrate strong analytical capabilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization. Experience managing change initiatives in manufacturing or supply chain environments is essential, along with strong organizational and prioritization skills.
