  • We are looking for a Senior UX Designer to join Japan Consumer Innovation, where you will shape the experience of our retail partners navigating one of the most complex digital environments in e-commerce. This is not just about designing interfaces. It is about defining how AI-powered tools, retail partner workflows, and business outcomes come together to transform how our partners grow and operate on Amazon. You will take on genuinely ambiguous challenges spanning retail partner service design, Science and AI-assisted tooling, and end-to-end operational workflows. Your work will directly influence how our retail partners make critical decisions about promotions, inventory, pricing, and business strategy — requiring you to think systemically across business decision-making, user experience, complex service integration. Key job responsibilities - Improve end-to-end UX design for retail experiences and services, from discovery and concept through to delivery and iteration. - Partner with UX researche to conduct and synthesize user research — including interviews, usability testing, and behavioral analysis — to deeply understand retail partner needs, workflows, and pain points. - Translate complex operational and data-heavy workflows into intuitive, scalable design solutions that reduce friction and drive partner success. - Define and logically communicate design solutions, frameworks, and principles that can scale across the retail partner tooling ecosystem. - Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders to align on priorities and ensure design decisions are grounded in both user needs and business outcomes. - Advocate for the retail partner perspective in cross-functional discussions, bringing a systems-thinking approach to AI-assisted tools and service design. - Contribute to a culture of design excellence by mentoring team members and raising the bar for UX quality across the organization. Basic Qualifications
  • - 8+ years of design experience - Have an available online portfolio - Experience designing and prototyping with tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, or similar - Experience in delivering design solutions for projects of large scope and complexity - Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership - Experience working with customers, technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs
Preferred Qualifications
