Job Description: Software Engineer

Overview

We are looking for a Software Engineer to contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of scalable software systems. This role focuses on hands-on coding, execution of well-defined tasks, and delivering high-quality software across backend, frontend, and CDN/system components, while effectively leveraging modern development tools including AI-assisted coding.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain clean, efficient, and reliable code
  • Implement features and enhancements across backend and frontend systems
  • Contribute to CDN-related configuration, integration, and troubleshooting to support content delivery and system performance
  • Debug issues across backend, frontend, and CDN layers using logs, data, and monitoring tools
  • Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, QA, DevOps) to deliver solutions
  • Follow engineering best practices including testing, CI/CD, and version control
  • Use AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude, Copilot) to improve productivity, code quality, and problem-solving efficiency
  • Provide clear updates on progress, risks, and blockers
  • Build working knowledge of system architecture, data flows, and CDN behavior

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2–5 years of software development experience
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language - Java and JavaScript
  • Experience with full stack development
  • Familiarity with APIs, databases, and basic system design concepts
  • Exposure to CDN concepts (caching, delivery, invalidation, logging)
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $98,000 and $175,450. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
