• This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Software Engineer – AI/ML based in India. This role offers the opportunity to build and scale next-generation conversational AI systems that power intelligent, real-time interactions across global customer experience platforms. You will contribute to designing and optimizing AI-driven architectures that support large-scale deployments used by thousands of organizations worldwide. The position sits at the intersection of software engineering and applied AI, combining backend development, machine learning integration, and system design. You will collaborate closely with AI researchers, product managers, UX designers, and senior engineers to bring innovative solutions from concept to production. The environment is highly collaborative, fast-paced, and innovation-driven, with strong exposure to cutting-edge advancements in LLMs, NLP, and agentic AI systems. • Accountabilities: Design, develop, and maintain scalable AI systems powering conversational interfaces and intelligent agent experiences. Build and optimize AI pipelines for real-time and asynchronous data processing and interaction workflows. Develop clean, efficient, and well-tested backend code, ensuring high performance and maintainability. Integrate AI/ML models into microservices and API-based architectures within distributed systems. Optimize model performance, inference workflows, and system scalability for production environments. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including AI researchers, data scientists, and product engineers to deploy AI solutions at scale. Stay updated with advancements in conversational AI, LLMs, NLP, and emerging agentic AI technologies. Requirements: Bachelor’s or Master’s/PhD degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or related field, with relevant industry experience (3+ years for Bachelor’s or 1–2+ years for advanced degrees). Strong proficiency in Python and backend development with solid software engineering fundamentals. Experience with AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Hugging Face. Hands-on experience fine-tuning LLMs and familiarity with inference frameworks such as vLLM. Strong understanding of system design, distributed systems, APIs, and microservice architecture. Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in fast-paced, collaborative environments. Exposure to real-time AI applications (chatbots, copilots, voice assistants) or open-source AI contributions is a plus.
