Key Responsibilities
- Review, assess, and moderate user-generated content published across major social media platforms in Spanish, ensuring full compliance with platform community guidelines and policies.
- Identify, escalate, and take appropriate action on content that violates social media standards, including hate speech, misinformation, graphic material, spam, and harassment.
- Monitor social media feeds, comment sections, and user profiles to detect emerging trends in harmful or policy-breaching content in a timely and accurate manner.
- Accurately document and log content decisions within internal moderation systems, maintaining detailed records for quality assurance and reporting purposes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Trust & Safety specialists and quality analysts, to uphold content standards and continuously improve moderation workflows.
- Provide clear, constructive feedback and recommendations to help refine and update social media content policies as community trends evolve.
- Meet or exceed defined productivity and quality benchmarks while maintaining a high degree of sensitivity and sound judgement when handling potentially distressing content.
- Participate actively in regular team briefings, training sessions, and calibration exercises to stay current with evolving platform policies and best moderation practices.
- Native or fluent proficiency in Spanish (both written and spoken) is essential for this role; strong comprehension of cultural nuances within Spanish-speaking communities is highly valued.
- Valid EU passport or appropriate documentation permitting full-time employment within the European Union (mandatory).
- A solid understanding of social media platforms, digital content ecosystems, and online community behaviour.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise sound, independent judgement when evaluating sensitive or ambiguous content within a social media context.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent time management skills, and the ability to maintain accuracy while working at pace in a high-volume content moderation environment.
- A resilient, professional mindset with the capacity to manage exposure to potentially disturbing content with composure and emotional maturity.
- Previous experience in content moderation, trust and safety, customer support, or a related social media role is advantageous, though not strictly required — full training is provided.
