TheraPeds Partners is a therapist-owned and operated organization. We partner with schools to provide Speech Language Pathology (SLP) services to PreK–12 students nationwide. As a team of special education providers, we understand the education process, IDEA requirements, and the importance of collaboration within multidisciplinary teams. Our mission is to deliver high-quality Speech Language Pathology (SLP) services while making meaningful connections in a collaborative learning environment.

This is a full-time, short-term virtual role as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) serving a school located in Indiana.

The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will be responsible for providing therapy services to students, conducting assessments, developing IEP plans, evaluating progress, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams (therapists, educators, parents). The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a passion for working with students with special needs. 

Job Details

  • Full-time virtual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity
  • 1099 independent contractor
  • 37–40 hours per week
  • Assignment begins August 2026 and continues through October 31, 2026 to provide leave coverage
  • Serve students in Kindergarten through 12th grade
  • Caseload of approximately 110 students, shared between an on-site SLPA and 1–1.5 virtual SLPs
  • Responsibilities include providing direct and indirect therapy services, supervising SLPAs, case management, evaluations, treatment planning, IEP development, progress monitoring, documentation, and participation in multidisciplinary team meetings
  • Guaranteed paid hours, including direct services, documentation, planning, meetings, and administrative responsibilities
  • Ongoing collaboration and support from both the partnering school district and the TheraPeds Partners team
  • $60–$65 per hour (1099) ($2250-$2437/week)

Qualifications

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Must hold, or be eligible to obtain, both:
    • An Indiana Speech-Language Pathology License issued by the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency (IPLA)
    • An Indiana Department of Education (IDOE) Communication Disorders (School Services) License
  • Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of successful virtual school-based Speech-Language Pathology experience required
  • Experience providing teletherapy services to K–12 students, including direct and indirect services, evaluations, IEP development, and case management
  • Experience supervising Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) preferred
  • Strong knowledge of IDEA, special education procedures, and school-based service delivery
  • Excellent organizational, documentation, and time management skills
  • Proficiency with virtual therapy platforms, educational technology, and electronic documentation systems
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with school staff, administrators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Demonstrated professionalism, communication skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality while exercising sound judgment and discretion

Physical Requirements

Working and playing with students requires that employees must be able to perform the necessary physical movement functions, as needed, such as lifting, sitting, walking, standing, crawling, and engaging with students in all physical locations and activities, while adhering to the duties outlined by the district.
