- This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Strategic Account Manager based in India. This is a fully remote commercial role focused on driving growth across South and West India within the life sciences market. You will manage strategic relationships with Biopharma, Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, and Academic customers. The role combines consultative selling, account strategy, pipeline development, and channel partner collaboration. You will engage with scientific users, senior decision-makers, and procurement stakeholders to build long-term partnerships. Success will depend on your ability to identify new opportunities, expand revenue, and strengthen market presence. You will work closely with regional marketing, sales, customer support, finance, supply chain, and digital teams. The position offers significant autonomy, international exposure, and the opportunity to contribute to solutions that advance life science research.
- Accountabilities: Develop and execute strategic account plans focused on revenue growth, project pipelines, stakeholder mapping, and increased market share across assigned territories. Build trusted, long-term relationships with senior decision-makers and key stakeholders across Biopharma, Pharma, Biotechnology, and Academic organizations. Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities independently and in collaboration with channel partners. Increase awareness and adoption of a broad portfolio of life science products and solutions through direct customer engagement and consultative selling. Manage relationships across scientific end users, decision-makers, procurement teams, and other relevant customer stakeholders. Collaborate with regional Marketing & Sales, Customer Support, Finance, Supply Chain, and Digital teams to address customer needs and deliver effective solutions. Maintain accurate CRM records, qualify leads, manage the sales funnel, monitor pipeline progression, and provide regular commercial reporting. Engage with key opinion leaders and relevant scientific stakeholders to strengthen market relationships and commercial opportunities. Travel extensively across India, with occasional travel within the broader JAPAC region, to support customers and business development activities. Contribute to cross-functional initiatives and collaborate with senior regional and global stakeholders to support commercial priorities. Requirements: Master’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology, or a closely related scientific discipline. 3–5 years of experience in science-based solution selling within the Life Sciences, Pharma, or Biotech market, preferably covering the Indian territory. Strong understanding of Indian market dynamics, relevant business regulations, and channel partner networks. Demonstrated ability to develop customer relationships and manage commercial interactions at scientific, executive decision-making, and procurement levels. Strong consultative selling, account planning, business development, negotiation, and pipeline management capabilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, together with strong presentation and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with regional and global teams. High level of professionalism, integrity, transparency, ownership, and work ethic. A global mindset and comfort working with senior leaders and geographically distributed teams are advantageous. Willingness and ability to travel approximately 75% of the time across India and occasionally within the JAPAC region. Benefits: Fully remote working arrangement from home in Bengaluru, India.
