Strategist IV
itD is seeking a Strategist IV to drive competitive intelligence and industry insights that shape long-term product strategy for Reality Labs. In this role, you will independently lead research, analytics, and data-driven strategic initiatives that help inform decisions across VR, AR, Wearables, and Horizon. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in strategy, data analytics, and market research, with a proven track record of delivering executive-ready insights that influence product roadmaps and business decisions.
Location: Remote within the United States (Pacific Time preferred).
Duration: 8 Months
Pay Rate: depending on experience.

Responsibilities
- Lead competitive intelligence research to identify industry trends, emerging technologies, market dynamics, and competitor activity across VR, AR, wearables, and consumer technology.
- Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to develop actionable insights that inform long-term product strategy and executive decision-making.
- Compile, manage, and maintain benchmarking datasets using third-party data sources to support ongoing strategic initiatives.
- Develop clear data visualizations, charts, graphs, and executive presentations that effectively communicate complex findings.
- Conduct structured research using internal and external sources while leveraging AI tools, including large language models (LLMs), to accelerate analysis.
- Drive end-to-end strategic projects independently, transforming ambiguous business questions into decision-ready recommendations.
- Present findings and strategic recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders and leadership while partnering with product, strategy, and analytics teams.
Internal Responsibilities
- Attend regular internal practice community meetings.
- Collaborate with your itD practice team on industry thought leadership.
- Complete client case studies and learning material (blogs, media material).
- Build out material to contribute to the Digital Transformation practice.
- Attend internal itD networking events (in person and virtual).
- Work with leadership on career fast-track opportunities.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- 5+ years of experience in consulting, strategy, data analytics, data science, business operations, or program management.
- 3+ years of experience leading projects involving data strategy, analytics, or data science within a consulting firm, corporate strategy team, investment bank, or similar environment.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for data analysis and modeling.
- Working knowledge of SQL with the ability to manipulate large datasets and write queries.
- Experience with data visualization and creating executive-ready presentations using PowerPoint or Google Slides.
- Experience conducting structured research and synthesizing qualitative and quantitative data.
- Fluency using AI tools, including large language models (LLMs), to accelerate research and analysis.
- Demonstrated experience structuring and solving complex analytical problems.
- Proven ability to independently lead projects from ambiguity through delivery of decision-ready outputs.
- Experience presenting insights to senior leadership and influencing product or business decisions.
- Demonstrated experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver strategic outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- Master's degree in Business, Marketing, Analytics, Engineering, or another quantitative discipline (MBA or equivalent preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, business operations, investment banking, or program management.
- Experience supporting consumer technology, VR, AR, gaming, wearables, consumer hardware, or the broader consumer internet industry.
- Educational background from a leading undergraduate or graduate institution.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Analytics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent work experience required.
- Master's degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.
