- This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a SW Engineer, Authorizations based in Brazil. This role offers the opportunity to build and evolve highly scalable software within the critical layer of real-time payment authorization. You will work on systems that process and validate financial transactions while meeting demanding requirements for security, reliability, and performance. The position involves designing resilient services, orchestration layers, and APIs within a modern microservices and distributed architecture. You will collaborate closely with Product, QA, DevOps, and other engineering teams to deliver impactful technical solutions. The environment emphasizes engineering excellence, automated testing, observability, documentation, and continuous improvement. - Accountabilities: Design, develop, and maintain scalable and resilient software systems supporting banking and payment services. Build and evolve orchestration layers that integrate internal and external services across distributed environments. Develop RESTful APIs and reusable software components using a microservices-based architecture. Contribute to technical design discussions and architecture decisions within the engineering team. Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, and other cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and impactful solutions. Write and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure software quality, stability, and reliability. Apply modern engineering practices with a strong focus on security, performance, scalability, and maintainability. Work with cloud-based, event-driven, and distributed architectures to support high-volume transaction processing. Contribute to observability practices, including monitoring, tracing, and alerting, to improve system reliability. Participate in technical mentoring, knowledge sharing, continuous learning, and engineering improvement initiatives. Maintain clear technical documentation and communicate effectively within a highly collaborative and transparent environment. Requirements: Be based in Brazil and have English proficiency at approximately B2 level (intermediate). Demonstrated professional experience with at least one programming language. Experience with Java, Groovy, or Golang is strongly preferred. Understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and applications operating at high scale and high availability. Hands-on experience developing and integrating REST APIs. Knowledge of AWS services such as SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, S3, and EventBridge. Experience with Git and modern version-control workflows. Strong testing mindset, including practical experience with unit and integration testing. Knowledge of SQL databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL and NoSQL technologies such as DynamoDB or MongoDB. Familiarity with messaging systems and event-driven architectures. Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and container technologies such as Docker. Understanding of observability practices covering monitoring, tracing, and alerting. Familiarity with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools. Experience working within Agile methodologies and supporting applications in production. Strong problem-solving, collaboration, communication, and continuous-learning skills.
