Job Description

What you’ll be doing:

Schedule: Full Time Monday - Thursday 10 AM - 9 PM MST

The Virtual Psychologist conducts individual and group therapy (adults, children and adolescents) on topics such as mood, anxiety, stress and eating disorders; conducts family therapy and/or family education sessions; develops each patient’s individualized treatment plan; and works with interdisciplinary treatment team to implement the plan. All sessions are conducted within a HIPAA compliant telehealth platform, following established protocols. This position is remote.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Conducts individual psychotherapy, group therapy and family therapy
  • For each patient on case load, complete clinical paperwork and administrative tasks including:
    • Treatment plans
    • Individual and Family Therapy progress notes and group notes
    • Aftercare plan
    • Discharge summary
    • Regular communication with patient's outpatient community provider(s)
  • Conducts comprehensive assessments and treatment planning for each patient on case load:
    • Completes psychosocial, self-harm, pain and suicide assessments
    • Creates individualized treatment plans with specific and measurable goals in collaboration with treatment team members
    • Creates therapeutic treatment agreements or behavioral support plans as needed
    • Holds therapeutic team meeting with patient to address any concerns, if needed
  • Attends treatment team meetings and treatment team rounds to coordinate patient care with interdisciplinary team
  • May provide training and guidance to less experienced teammates

Must haves:

  • Doctorate of Psychology (PsyD) or Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) in Psychology from an APA Accredited program
  • Currently a licensed Psychologist residing in a Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact (PsyPact) State
  • Holds Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact (PsyPact) credential
  • Passed Examination for Professional Practice in Psychology (EPPP)
  • Minimum 2-4 years' experience conducting psychotherapy
  • Ability to move from one group assignment, line of service, and/or ages served to the next with ease – flexibility
  • Collaborative nature, strong communication - multi-disciplinary team
  • Engaging and skilled in navigating video interactions
  • Familiarity with or ability to easily and quickly learn required technology including a video meeting platform, EMHR, and other computer programs
