4730-Software Development Engineer III (Full-Stack)

About the Role

At Innovaccer, we’re looking for exceptional Software Development Engineer-III (Full-Stack) who are passionate about solving complex problems, building systems at scale, and redefining how software is engineered in the AI era.

As an SDE-III, you’ll operate beyond individual features—you’ll own complex technical problems end-to-end, influence architecture across systems, and help raise the engineering bar for the broader organization. You’ll work closely with Product, Design, AI, and Engineering leaders to turn ambiguous customer and business problems into simple, scalable, and reliable solutions.

We’re looking for highly driven builders and technical leaders who combine strong coding skills with deep system thinking, sound engineering judgment, and a bias for action. You should be someone who can dive deep into code when needed, challenge architectural assumptions, simplify complexity, and take ownership of outcomes—not just deliverables.

AI-native engineering is fundamental to how we build at Innovaccer. You’ll be expected to leverage AI coding tools and the AI Development Life Cycle (AIDLC) to dramatically improve engineering velocity, quality, and effectiveness.

A Day in the Life

• Own and drive complex, cross-cutting engineering initiatives from problem definition and architecture through implementation, deployment, and production.
• Design and build highly scalable, reliable, secure, and maintainable full-stack systems.
• Make architectural decisions that consider performance, scalability, reliability, security, cost, operability, and long-term maintainability.
• Apply AI-assisted development deeply across the engineering lifecycle—using AI coding agents and tools for design exploration, implementation, testing, debugging, refactoring, code review, and documentation.
• Champion AIDLC / AI-native software development practices and help teams evolve from traditional development workflows toward AI-augmented engineering.
• Think in systems and understand dependencies and trade-offs across applications, services, data, infrastructure, and customer workflows.
• Identify opportunities to simplify systems, eliminate technical debt, and improve engineering velocity and developer experience.
• Partner with Product, AI, Design, and Engineering teams to solve ambiguous problems and translate business/customer needs into robust technical solutions.
• Lead technical design discussions, architecture reviews, and engineering initiatives across teams.
• Raise the engineering bar through code reviews, technical mentorship, design reviews, engineering standards, and hands-on problem solving.
• Proactively identify problems and drive them to resolution with a strong bias for ownership and action.

What You Need

• 5-8 years of software engineering experience, with demonstrated ownership of complex systems and technical initiatives.
• Strong hands-on coding skills across the full stack, with depth in one or more areas.
• Strong experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, ReactJS, or equivalent modern frontend technologies.
• Strong backend experience with Node.js, Python, Java, or similar technologies.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, APIs, databases, cloud-native architectures, scalability, reliability, and system design.
• Experience designing and building production systems at scale, including making architectural and technology trade-offs.
• Demonstrated ability to take ambiguous, open-ended problems and drive them from problem definition to production.
• Hands-on experience with AI coding tools is required. You should be proficient with tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or equivalent and use them as an integral part of your engineering workflow.
• Strong understanding and practical application of AIDLC / AI-native engineering practices, including AI-assisted design, coding, testing, debugging, code review, evaluation, and continuous iteration.
• Strong system-thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to reason about complex systems and identify root causes rather than treating symptoms.
• Excellent engineering judgment—you know when to simplify, when to optimize, and when to challenge the existing approach.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence technical decisions across teams.
• Demonstrated technical leadership without relying on organizational authority.
• Strong bias toward ownership, execution, continuous learning, and measurable impact.
