Remote Job Guru ("we") runs the remote job board at www.remotejobguru.com. This page explains what data we collect, why, and what you can do about it. You can search and read every job without an account.
What we collect
When you browse the site:
- Usage statistics through Google Analytics: the pages you view, clicks on "Apply Now" and "View Full Posting" (with the job they belong to), and general information such as your browser, device and approximate location (country or city). Google Analytics sets cookies to tell visits apart.
- Technical data that every request carries, such as your IP address. Cloudflare, which delivers and protects the site, and our servers process it to send you the pages and to block abuse. Our server logs keep it for a short time.
When you sign in with Google:
- From your Google account: your Google account ID, email address, name and profile picture. Google shares them only after you choose to sign in, and we ask for nothing else.
- When your account was created and when you last signed in.
- A session cookie that keeps you signed in (see Cookies below).
How we use it
- To sign you in, keep you signed in, and show your name and picture on the site.
- To run the site, keep it secure, and understand which pages and features are used so we can improve them.
We don't sell your data, we don't use it for advertising, and we don't send you emails. We use the information we receive from your Google account only for signing in, in line with the Google API Services User Data Policy.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser's settings, or turn off Google Analytics with Google's opt-out browser add-on. The site works without them, except that you can't stay signed in without the session cookie.
Who else handles your data
We share data only with the services that run the site for us:
- Google: sign-in (Google Identity Services) and Google Analytics
- Cloudflare: delivering and protecting the site
- Our hosting provider, which runs our servers and database, and our logging provider
Job postings come from employers' own career sites. When you click "Apply Now" or "View Full Posting", you leave Remote Job Guru, and that site's privacy policy applies to what you share there.
How long we keep it
- Your account data: as long as your account exists. We delete it when you ask us to.
- Server logs: a short time, usually days, at most a few weeks.
- Usage statistics: as long as Google Analytics keeps them under our account's retention setting.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the data we hold about you, including your whole account. Email [email protected] from the address you signed in with. Signing out removes the session cookie from your browser. You can also remove Remote Job Guru's access to your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/connections.
Children
Remote Job Guru is a job board for adults. It isn't meant for children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
Changes
When we change this policy, we update it on this page and change the date at the top.
