Zen Educate is a high-growth tech startup on a mission to revolutionize how schools find temporary teaching staff. We believe that by creating a transparent and efficient platform, we can help schools save money while empowering teachers to earn more, and that means more resources stay where they belong: in the classroom. We're looking for a Compliance Systems Specialist to join our team. This isn't just an administrative role; it's a chance to be a guardian of quality and safety. You'll be on the front lines, ensuring that every educator who walks into a classroom through our platform is fully vetted, qualified, and prepared to make a positive impact. What You'll Be Doing Investigating state regulations and credentials in collaboration with our Growth team to uncover regional licensing standards when expanding educator onboarding into new territories. Establishing partnerships with key vendors across targeted territories, including providers for fingerprinting, background checks, and drug screenings to ensure seamless operations. Managing critical administrative filings to secure corporate licenses, local authorizations, and access to state background verification tools. Partnering across internal teams like Recruitment and Account Management to keep everyone aligned on regulatory timelines and hiring prerequisites during market launches. Building agile compliance frameworks for new territories, then seamlessly handing off ongoing maintenance to our core compliance operations once established. Who We're Looking For This role is perfect for a self-motivated and highly organized individual who is passionate about making a difference. You should be: A meticulous and detail-oriented individual with an ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Comfortable with technology and proficient in tools like the Google Suite. An excellent communicator, both in writing and in conversation. Confident in handling sensitive information with the utmost discretion and confidentiality. Driven by a passion for child safety in education, understanding that your work directly contributes to a secure and supportive learning environment. A skilled project manager capable of balancing complex priorities, maintaining strict schedules, and adapting seamlessly in dynamic environments. Thorough and research-driven, with a knack for analyzing complex regulatory standards and educational guidelines while ensuring absolute accuracy. If you're ready to join a collaborative and innovative team where your contributions have a significant and tangible impact, we encourage you to apply. This is your opportunity to grow with a company that's changing the world of education for the better.
