Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Consumer Product Safety Attorney to support regulatory initiatives and contribute legal expertise to AI training and evaluation projects. The role involves analyzing product safety regulations, reviewing compliance documentation, and providing practical legal insights to improve AI systems. No prior AI experience is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and analyze product safety laws, regulations, and standards across multiple jurisdictions.

• Draft, edit, and evaluate regulatory compliance documents and legal materials.

• Provide written feedback on product safety case studies and compliance scenarios.

• Assess compliance strategies and recommend improvements or risk mitigation measures.

• Translate complex legal requirements into clear, practical guidance.

• Identify compliance gaps and explain their legal implications.

• Develop structured legal content for AI training and evaluation datasets.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent legal degree, preferably focused on product safety, consumer protection, or regulatory compliance.

• Significant experience with federal, state, and international product safety regulations, including CPSC, EU directives, and FDA requirements.

• Strong legal research, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Experience drafting and reviewing legal opinions, compliance policies, and technical documentation.

• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and adapt to project requirements.

• Interest in emerging AI technologies is an advantage.
