DevOps Engineer (part-time)
Job Description
About Aleroy
Aleroy is building a unified platform for high-performance AI inference, making it easier for companies to deploy and run AI models at scale.
Through a single API, Aleroy provides access to ready-to-use and custom AI models across cloud infrastructure, dedicated capacity, and customers' own hardware. Our platform optimizes performance, cost, and deployment flexibility while giving enterprises control over where and how their AI workloads run.
We work in small teams, collaborate directly, and focus on solving complex engineering challenges to build reliable, scalable AI infrastructure.
About the Role
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to help build, automate, and run the infrastructure behind our product. You will work hands-on with Kubernetes, ArgoCD, GitLab CI, Docker, and Linux servers to keep our production environment stable as we scale, and help prepare our infrastructure for a future move to AWS. You will work closely with the Technical Lead and the engineering team, and you'll have real ownership over the systems you build.
What You Will Own
Cloud & Infrastructure
• Operate and improve our self-managed infrastructure and Linux servers.
• Help plan and support a future migration to AWS.
• Handle server setup, hardening, updates, and troubleshooting.
• Help keep systems available, scalable, and cost-efficient.
• Set up and maintain backups and recovery procedures for our databases and storage.
Containers & Orchestration
• Containerize services with Docker and manage them in production.
• Deploy and operate workloads on Kubernetes, including scaling, networking, and resource tuning.
• Manage GitOps-based deployments with ArgoCD.
CI/CD & Automation
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines in GitLab CI.
• Automate deployments, configuration, and routine operational tasks.
• Improve deployment safety with automated checks and rollback options.
Monitoring & Logging
• Set up and maintain monitoring, logging, dashboards, and alerting with Grafana, Loki, and Prometheus.
• Make sure we have clear visibility into system health and failures.
• Keep alerts useful and reduce noise.
Incidents & Support
• Help investigate and resolve production issues.
• Contribute to post-mortems and turn findings into fixes.
• Participate in the on-call rotation.
Security
• Apply security best practices across cloud, servers, and pipelines.
• Manage access, secrets, and network security (access control, firewalls, secrets management).
About You
• 3+ years of experience in a DevOps or Infrastructure role.
• Good knowledge of AWS core services (EC2, ECS, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS).
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production.
• Experience with ArgoCD and GitOps-based deployments.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines in GitLab CI.
• Strong experience with Docker.
• Comfortable managing Linux servers and troubleshooting production issues.
• Experience with Nginx, DNS, SSL/TLS, and basic networking.
• Hands-on experience with Grafana, Loki, and Prometheus for monitoring, logging, and alerting.
• Basic scripting skills in Bash or Python.
• Good communication and a strong sense of ownership.
• Comfortable working remotely.
Nice to Have
• Experience with Terraform or other IaC tools.
• Experience with Helm.
• Experience running PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or MinIO in production.
• Experience migrating workloads between cloud providers or from bare-metal to cloud.
• Familiarity with Python/FastAPI or Node.js/NestJS services.
• Experience working on gaming or consumer-facing platforms.
• A passion for games.
What We Offer
A small, senior engineering environment where you can set technical standards, mentor engineers, and see your decisions translate directly into platform and product outcomes.
Fast execution, low bureaucracy, and a highly collaborative, idea-driven team.
Competitive salary with performance-based incentives.
Continuous learning through real-world problem solving — not just theory.
The opportunity to influence both technical architecture and product direction.
A diverse, open-minded team where ideas are genuinely heard.
