- This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior AI Engineer based in Brazil. We are seeking an experienced Senior AI Engineer to design, develop, and implement innovative Artificial Intelligence and Generative AI solutions focused on legal process automation. In this role, you will leverage advanced technologies, including Large Language Models (LLMs), Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), to transform how legal information is processed and managed. You will build intelligent applications for document analysis, automated due diligence, risk assessment, and litigation management. Working closely with Legal, Compliance, Governance, and Technology teams, you will translate complex business needs into scalable AI solutions. You will also ensure that developed systems meet high standards of security, accuracy, privacy, and regulatory compliance. - Accountabilities: Design, develop, and deploy Artificial Intelligence and Generative AI solutions to automate legal processes and workflows. Architect and implement Large Language Model (LLM) applications for analyzing, interpreting, and generating legal documents. Build intelligent solutions for extracting, classifying, and consolidating information from contracts, legal filings, opinions, and other legal documents. Develop automated Due Diligence applications to assess risks, evaluate compliance, and identify inconsistencies across legal documentation. Create AI-powered tools to support litigation management, case analysis, and monitoring of legal obligations. Design and implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures to enable intelligent searches and queries across legal document repositories. Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Governance, and Technology teams to identify opportunities for process automation and technological innovation. Ensure the security, traceability, privacy, and regulatory compliance of AI solutions, following internal policies and applicable requirements. Monitor and continuously optimize the performance, accuracy, reliability, and evolution of AI models in production environments. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Computational Mathematics, Statistics, Electrical Engineering with a focus on Computing, or a related field. Strong professional experience with Python and the development of Artificial Intelligence solutions. Advanced knowledge of Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Natural Language Processing (NLP). Hands-on experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), such as GPT, Claude, Llama, Mistral, Gemini, or equivalent technologies. Practical experience with AI development frameworks and orchestration tools, including LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, and Semantic Kernel. Strong knowledge of RAG architectures, vectorization techniques, and semantic search. Experience with vector databases and search technologies such as Pinecone, Weaviate, ChromaDB, and Azure AI Search. Familiarity with cloud computing platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Knowledge of MLOps practices, AI model monitoring, deployment, and governance. Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to translate complex business requirements into effective technical solutions. Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams. Nice to have: Previous experience developing AI solutions for legal departments, compliance, auditing, or risk management. Knowledge of automated contract analysis and legal document review processes. Experience working in banking, financial services, insurance, or large enterprises handling high volumes of contracts and business processes. Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft Azure AI Engineer Associate, AWS Machine Learning Specialty, or equivalent qualifications. Postgraduate studies or specialization in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Big Data Analytics, AI Engineering, or Cloud Solutions Architecture (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
