Expenses Administrator

Salary: R23 000 – R25 000 per month

Remote Recruitment is hiring a Expenses Administrator for a UK-based employer, fully remote from South Africa.

Role overview

Remote Recruitment places South African talent with UK employers, and this is a full-time, 100% remote position working UK business hours. In this role, you will own staff expense claims from receipt to reimbursement for a UK employer. You will join a friendly team, work with clear processes, and have the support you need to do your best work from home.

Key responsibilities

• Review expense claims against company policy
• Check receipts and chase missing documents
• Code expenses to the correct accounts
• Prepare reimbursement batches for approval
• Answer staff expense queries clearly and quickly

What you'll need

• Experience checking expense claims or invoices, with examples of spotting errors
• Familiarity with Expensify, Xero Expenses or similar
• Good Excel or Google Sheets skills
• A reliable laptop, stable fibre internet and a quiet workspace
• Availability for 09:00–17:00 UK time (11:00–19:00 SAST)

Nice to have

• Experience with corporate cards
• Familiarity with UK expense rules
• Experience with Dext
